M1NT Founders: Alistair Paton and Paul Robinson



Alistair Paton - Founder & Group CEO

Alistair worked as a foreign exchange trader in Sydney, before raising US$250,000 to found a carbon credit and emission derivative trading business in 1999. The business sold credits in Japan, the US, the Middle East, China and Europe, and was valued at A$250m before he exited the business. Alistair has worked as an adviser to Australian Senator Robert Hill, World Bank Vice President Ken Newcombe and the UN. He was nominated for the Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000 and 2001, and placed third for the Queen of England’s Award for Enterprise in 2006. Alistair is the founder and public face of the company, and has featured in numerous Chinese and international media features. Alistair is responsible for the overall performance of the company and expanding the group’s global presence, while reporting to the Board of Directors.


 


 


Paul Robinson, Executive Chairman of M1NT Global Holdings

Paul has considerable expertise in the entertainment industry. During a 20 year career in the entertainment industry, Paul has been the Finance Director of Richard Branson’s Virgin Records UK through the phenomenally successful 1990’s, the Chief Operating Officer of EMI Australia from 2004, and most recently the President & Chief Operating Officer of EMI South East Asia based in Hong Kong before becoming the chairman of M1NT in 2008. Paul’s expertise has been driving operational profitability in a creative environment.
